What is the Kanger (M)T3S?
The Kanger MT3 is simply a Kanger T3 with a cosmetic adjustment that adds a bit of reinforcement to the T3. The atomizer base of the MT3 has a very sharp diamond chrome finish where as the original T3 has a “tool metal” look. This clearomizer is as popular as the T3 because many people feel that its far more aesthetically pleasing.
The Kanger MT3 hold about 3.0ml of eliquid and our version operates at 2.5 ohms but can take all the other levels of resistance. As far as size specs go, it’s 79.5mm tall with the atomizer base attached and 15.5mm thick at the exact middle of the unit. (The standard T3 is a 14.76mm thick at the exact middle if you would like to know the increase in thickness the metal sheath adds.) This does not change in any way any of the other features of the T3, you still fill it the same way… By separating the base and body and tipping the body at a 45 degree angle and filling in liquid. It also utilizes the eGo threads.
The vape is perfect with many people claiming that it hits harder than a T3. I would suspect this is due to the extra care taken to assemble the chromed base and overall improvements in manufacturing as the Kanger employees and engineers learn to improve, these minor changes will show as well as some claim it has with the MT3. We and Sun-Vapers do not claim there is any difference.
The MT3 flavor can be a bit different over other clearomizers, like the T3 it is cooled by the long center pipe of the body. The vapor production needs to travel a minimum of 67mm to the taste and smell senses. The CE4 Clearo travels 38mm and the Kanger T2 travels 34mm. Speculation seems to indicate that it results in stronger flavoring as the cooled vapor looks for spots to condensate earlier when it reaches the tip. (this is theoretical currently) This also may be caused by the faster uptake of e liquid into the wick during vaporizing because of constant feed to the wicks not allowing flow gaps. The atomizer is constantly submerged below liquid. With other clearomizers there is more resistance to wicking as the fluid fights gravity.
Is the Kanger MT3S and T3S Resistant to acidic elqiuids like cinnamon or citrus?
The Kanger MT3 seems to be touted as a clearomizer that is resistant to acidic e-liquids. The mouthpiece is still polycarbonate and the clear plastic still uses a polycarbonate mix. The means you should NOT use acidic liquids as it will melt into your eliquid and destroy the clearomizer this is true of ALL clearomizers and the Kanger MT3 is not an exception. Because of the metal sheath it may be difficult to see it breakdown. Great care and research should be taken to ensure your eliquid will operate in the Kanger MT3.
The MT3 is a great clearomizer and a welcome lineup of other great products at Sun Vapers.
Will the Kanger MT3 and the eVod be backwards compatible?
The Kanger eVod clearomizer and Kanger MT3 bases are not compatible at this time. Kanger is working on a new MT3 with a different base it may be a few months before this product is to market. They are attempting to make it backward compatible with the MT3 and T3 lines.
