What is a Variable Tank System?

In the Triton’s case, a variable tank system means the tank can be used for many different styles of vaping for the best of both worlds. For a mouth-to-lung hit, Aspire offers a 1.8 ohm coil. For a direct lung inhale, Aspire offers a 0.3 ohm or 0.4 ohm coil. If those don’t tickle your fancy and you enjoy building your own coils, the RBA deck is for you, build to whatever resistance you’d like! The Triton also has a unique top-fill system which allows you to turn the top dial to “Vape Mode” or “Fill Mode”. When clicked into Fill Mode position you can pull the top airflow controller off and receive access to two holes for filling your tank.

So basically, you’re getting the convenience of not having to unscrew your whole tank to fill, and a full range of coil options to simulate a cigarette draw or a hookah draw, as-well-as full control over airflow.

Coils in the Box

You get a total of two coils when you purchase the Triton.

  • 0.4ohm (black o-rings) – Max Power Rating: 30 watts
  • 1.8ohm (blue o-rings) – Max Power Rating: 13 watts

Quick Note:
Using a 60%VG juice, I’ve taken the 0.4ohm up to 45 watts without any burnt hits. The 1.8ohm, up to 18 watts without burning on the same juice.

Extra Pictures & Things to Consider

Filling the Triton

Filling the Triton couldn’t be easier. Just twist the top dial which has an arrow pointing down. Once its clicked on the fill symbol: triton-fill-symbols you can grab the fins and pull the top section off. You’ll see two holes, pick a hole, and fill the tank up. Once filled, snap the top fins back in and switch the arrow back to the vape symbol:  You’re all good to go, more simple for beginners, more simple for veterans!

Filling the Aspire Triton

Keep in Mind

Cracking the Triton’s glass is going to be a bit more difficult than Aspire’s previous Atlantis and Nautilus tanks due to the stainless sheathing. Also, in-case you do break your glass, Aspire has a Triton webbed-sleeve replacement tank which replaces the main tank portion (you would keep your top drip tip/ airflow piece and the base).

Overall, the Aspire Triton is a great tank. I came from the Aspire Nautilus mini 1.8 ohm tank and I’m loving the Triton with both 1.8 ohm coil at 15 watts and 0.4 ohm coil at 40 watts. If you’re a beginner or a seasoned vaper, this tank will cut the time it takes to fill and keeps you vaping with less hassle.
